Neiße Filmfestival Nachspiel

Zum ersten Mal zeigt die Cinémathèque Leipzig einen Film des diesjährigen Neiße Filmfestivals. Seit 2004 präsentiert das Neiße Filmfestival jährlich im Mai in der Dreiländerregion zwischen Deutschland, Polen und Tschechien aktuelle Spiel-, Dokumentar- und Kurzfilme. Besonders und einzigartig am Filmfestival ist sein genreübergreifender und trinationaler Charakter mit länderübergreifenden Filmvorführungen an rund zwanzig Spielorten entlang der Neiße. So hat sich das Festival zu einer kulturellen Brücke für Filmfans und Programmkinos aus den drei Nachbarländern entwickelt. Jedes Jahr richtet das Filmfestival den Blick auf Bezüge und Beziehungen zwischen den Menschen Osteuropas und auf die jeweilige filmische Auseinandersetzung mit Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Das länderübergreifende Programm bietet neben drei Wettbewerben und verschiedenen Filmreihen auch Veranstaltungen wie Konzerte, Lesungen, Ausstellungen und Partys.
 

For the first time, Cinémathèque Leipzig is showing a film that was screened at the Neisse Film Festival this year. Living Europe at the borders along the Neisse The Neisse Film Festival, located at the juncture of Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic, has been presenting current feature films, short films and documentaries each May since 2004. The mix of genres and the international character of this festival, with screenings in approximately 20 locations in three countries along the Neisse River make this festival one-of-a-kind. The festival has become a kind of cultural bridge for film fans and arthouse cinemas from the three neighbouring countries. Each year, the festival places its focus on the relationships and interactions between the peoples of Eastern Europe and on the cinematic treatment of past and present. The international program offers not only three competitions and various film series but also events such as concerts, readings, exhibitions and parties.
