LICHT UND HINGABE - FILME & GESPRÄCHE AUS KURDISTAN ein Projekt über die Realitäten, Kämpfe und Demokratiekonzepte von Kurd*innen. Es wurde von der Initiative Defend Kurdistan Leipzig ins Leben gerufen und wird organisatorisch und infrastrukturell durch die Cinémathèque Leipzig unterstützt.

In einer Mischung aus Spiel- und Dokumentarfilmen, mit Einführungen und Gesprächen mit Filmemacher*innen, Protagonist*innen und Aktivist*innen, versuchen wir uns der komplexen Realität der Kurd*innen zu nähern und in den Trümmern der Kriege und Erdbeben auch ein bisschen Hoffnung zu finden.

LIGHT AND DEVOTION - FILMS & CONVERSATIONS FROM KURDISTAN is a project about the realities, struggles and concepts of democracy of Kurds. It was launched by the initiative Defend Kurdistan Leipzig and is supported organizationally and infrastructurally by the Cinémathèque Leipzig.

In a mixture of feature films and documentaries, with introductions and discussions with filmmakers, protagonists and activists, we try to approach the complex reality of the Kurds and find a bit of hope in the ruins of wars and earthquakes.
