ROUTE 4

Ein Medienteam von Boxfish begleitet 15 Monaten lang das Seenotrettungsschiff ALAN KURDI des Vereins „Sea-Eye“ während fünf Missionen auf dem Mittelmeer. Der Fokus dieses Dokumentarfilms liegt auf den Schutzsuchenden, ihren Schicksalen und Fluchtursachen. Während die Schutzsuchenden sich auf eine gefährliche Reise über Transitregionen, Wüstenlandschaften und das Mittelmeer nach Europa begeben, muss Europa ihren Weg zu einer Zukunft finden, in der die Seenotrettung nicht mehr (privat) stattfinden muss.

Im Anschluss sprechen wir mit Rafael Turunç, Aktivist und Referent für das Ehrenamtliche Engagement von Sea-Eye.

A media team from Boxfish accompanied the sea rescue ship ALAN KURDI of the "Sea-Eye" organisation for 15 months during five missions in the Mediterranean Sea. The focus of this documentary centres on the people in need, their fates and the causes of their flight. While the people seeking protection embark on a dangerous journey across transit regions, desert landscapes and the Mediterranean to Europe, Europe must find its way to a future in which sea rescue no longer has to take place (privately).
