CAPTAIN FAGGOTRON SAVES THE UNIVERSE

Father Gaylord flüchtete sich einst in die Kirche, um nicht mehr schwul zu sein. Aber das ist ihm nicht besonders gut gelungen. In der Zwischenzeit plant Queen Bitch, Gaylords außerirdische*r Ex, die Erde in einen homosexuellen Planeten zu verwandeln. Mittendrin: Queer superhero Captain Faggotron! Seid dabei, wenn Ideologien clashen und sich in einer queeren Orgie voll schwuler Dämon*innen entladen. Und in Liebe, die sich nicht länger verstecken muss.

Ein spaßiger Supertrash, ohne Geld, aber mit umso mehr Herzblut, Leidenschaft und Sexpositivität in der Berliner Szene gedreht. Die *campe Selbstermächtigung versteht sich bewusst als Antwort auf die Gewalt, von der queere Menschen aller Gender ihr Leben lang verfolgt werden. Humor als Waffe und freudiger Widerstand gegen internalisierte Homophobie, heteronormative Strukturen (und das übliche Weihnachtsprogramm).

Father Gaylord ran away to the church to avoid being gay, but he’s not doing a very good job. Meanwhile, his alien ex-lover Queen Bitch is plotting to turn the Earth into a homosexual planet during a cosmic event. Queer super hero Captain Faggotron is caught in the middle. Clashing ideologies culminate in an orgy of queer demons and a love that no longer has to hide. A campy fantasy film about internalized homophobia, the tyranny of the closet and the fear of a gay planet and a direct response to the violence that follows queer people of all genders throughout their lives. The film follows a tradition deeply rooted in queer survival history: By confronting heteronormative structures, *camp exposes absurdities of the mainstream in a way that allows us to laugh.
