 „Dieser Film muss laut gehört werden“. So beginnt das dokumentarische Roadmovie durch die musikalische Subkultur der DDR. Regisseur Dieter Schumann begleitet Bands wie Silly, Sandow, Feeling B oder Chicoreé und deren Fans auf ihren Konzerttourneen quer durch ein Land, das sich im Aufruhr befindet. Der vom staatlichen DEFA-Studio produzierte Film lockte ein Jahr vor dem Mauerfall Hunderttausende in die ausverkauften Kinos der DDR.

This road movie features young people using music to express their take on life, opposition to the social and political climate in East Germany. It includes clips from concerts and interviews with fans and members of various bands,. This documentary, shot in 35mm, played to over one million viewers in sold-out theaters in East Germany.
