CHAI. Chinesisches Filmfestival Leipzig 2022

Nach der digitalen Ausgabe im vergangenen Jahr kommt das diesjährige 拆 CHAI endlich wieder ins Leipziger Kino! In seiner 9. Ausgabe präsentiert euch das Chinesische Filmfestival 拆 CHAI des Konfuzius-Institut Leipzig chinesische und internationale Filme aus und über die chinesische Welt. Vom 26. bis zum 29. Mai 2022 bringen wir euch Filme rund um das Thema China von chinesischen und internationalen Filmemacher*innen nach Leipzig – Filme, die die Vielfalt und Komplexität der chinesischsprachigen Welt und Diaspora abbilden und so Raum für Thematiken und Probleme schaffen, die sonst kaum Beachtung finden.

After last year's digital edition this year's 拆 CHAI is finally back in Leipzig cinemas. In its 9th edition, the Chinese Film Festival 拆 CHAI of Konfuzius-Institut Leipzig presents Chinese and international films from and about the Chinese world. From May 3rd to 6th 2023, we will bring films about China by Chinese and international filmmakers to Leipzig – films that depict the diversity and complexity of the Chinese-speaking world and Diaspora and thus shed light on topics that would be overlooked otherwise.
